Re: “The Anti-Sheep Mentality of Alameda's Mama Papa Lithuania

Ok, this is a good write up. I'll add here, the restaurant is cozy, the staff are kind, and the food is quite delicious. If you have an opportunity to go, then make sure you do.

Re: “Uber Not Coming To Oakland After All?

What about only the tip, just for a second, just to see what it feels like?

Kidding aside, isn't this a more healthy way to explore a relationship?

If Uber wants to follow the Warriors over to SF, let them try and ride the coattails of success.

They might find Oakland offers a place to live and work that's better suited to keeping it real. I'm just saying. San Francisco can get a bit caught up, it's in the history books if you look.

Re: “Will Oakland Become First U.S. City To Ditch Wall Street And Establish A Public Bank?

@Berkeleyhills- a credit union functions as a customer to an existing bank, and thus doesn't go outside the "Wall Street" establishment

Re: “Grinches of the Year: Oakland and East Bay Residents with Hearts a Few Sizes Too Small

Mr. Eroster, as I'm sure someone as educated and worldly as you knows, painting people whom you don't know personally with such a broad and belittling brush is not often helpful nor true. Brings to mind "stereotype" and "inflammatory". What change are you hoping to impart by your words? Pointing out the problem is easy, but to suggest realistic solutions? That would be genius and that's what the world and Oakland need now more than ever.

Re: “Jet Martinez Brings a Floral Green Flash to Downtown Oakland

As a father to a young child, and a person invested in the success off the collective, the value and importance of this kind of artistic care in our urban environment must be recognized, fostered, and acknowledged. Truly, a beautiful creation.
