Re: “Grease Trap: Follow the Frankenmeat

I thought Bonnie Powell's article in the Chron was great; her follow-up the same day at The Ethicurean had detail and thoroughness that you rarely see relating to an investigative newspaper article. "Does anyone care about Copia anymore?" - Not to belittle them, but did anyone care ever? How much money did they burn through? To what purpose? Why so much focus on art shows rather than teaching about food and wine? Why charge an admission fee - to keep people away? What is, by far, the best part of Copia (well, to me) is the Garden - and since it is, why did that get so little attention for events? And, why-o-why build it so far from the highway requiring such a wacky route to get to the place?
