Interactive Olive Oil Tasting & Workshop at Port Kitchens

Your friends might be driving up to Napa for a weekend of wine tasting and three-hour-long Michelin-starred dinners. But if you’re a true food obsessive, you know that sipping olive oil straight from the bottle is the true sign of an advanced palate. We jest, but only slightly: At this interactive workshop at the Port Kitchens (344 20th St., Oakland), three renowned olive oil experts who will take you through the ins and outs of olive-oil tasting, and will guide you as you taste five oils — each paired with a food that will help bring out all the nuances of flavor. Proceeds from the event will benefit Slow Food East Bay, one of over 210 Slow Food chapters in the US dedicated to supporting local producers of “Good, Clean, and Fair Food.” Reserve your spot via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/interactive-olive-oil-tasting-workshop-tickets-32671217491?aff=es2.
