Your friends might be driving up to Napa for a weekend of wine tasting and three-hour-long Michelin-starred dinners. But if you’re a true food obsessive, you know that sipping olive oil straight from the bottle is the true sign of an advanced palate. We jest, but only slightly: At this interactive workshop at the Port Kitchens (344 20th St., Oakland), three renowned olive oil experts who will take you through the ins and outs of olive-oil tasting, and will guide you as you taste five oils — each paired with a food that will help bring out all the nuances of flavor.
