Re: “Let's Close the Financial Literacy Gap

Is not the mandate of our goverment schools to educate? By witholding the education of financal literacy to our children, basic finance {check book balancing, understanding loan operation, work ethic} proves to me that the agenda is to "teach" dependency upon goverment. Will not all students punch a time clock during their productive lives?

Re: “The Oakland Police Pension Problem

"WE" OWN TWO GOLF COURCES??? The more I learn about the workings of this city of great promise, the more jaded I become.
Little wonder "the claws come out" when relections come near, do any of the city council have PRIVATE business experience??? The self anoited ones are power hungry, spoiled, *#%$^**. Like the childrens story they are the grasshoppers, not the ants.
Throw the bums out, without replaceing them with more bums.

Re: “The Cancer in the Oakland Mayor's Race

Questionable actions, longing for ultra high end lodging and dining, the names Marcos, Chowchesu, and his Dellumsness come to mind. None ever operated a profatable PRIVATE business, all have distane for the unwashed masses "by their actions we will know them". Unlike the managed press in less free countries the East Bay Express is constant with it's focus on the generational corruption of east bay.

Re: “Berkeley Quake Retrofits Are Behind Schedule

Like spoiled children leaving their toys out in the rain, it's just another "idea" that the leaders of Berkley did not follow through with.
