Sacred & Profane Chamber Chorus concludes their 39th Season with upcoming concert "In Love with Language" this May. Under the direction of Rebecca Seeman, Sacred and Profane explores the poetry of William Blake, Robert Frost, Christina Rosetti, Nobel Prize winner Tomas Tranströmer, and Lou Harrison. In addition to music by Jan Sandström, Rudi Tas and the ensemble’s own Will Raymer, this concert commemorates the legacy of renowned Bay Area composer Lou Harrison's centenary with his "Mass for St. Cecilia’s Day", and premiere of "On Bill’s Return from the Mountains" by Edward Schocker in collaboration with East Bay Ensemble, Thingamajigs.
