Thought-provoking feel-good documentary profiles Emily Pilloton and Matt Miller, a pair of socially conscious designers/architects/teachers who take their ambitious “teach kids to solve problems by building” public-works project to North Carolina’s poorest county, where the students admire them and the conservative board of education is suspicious. Director Patrick Creadon and his crew mostly stand back and watch Pilloton (a Berkeley-based educator), Miller, and their Studio H students hard at work. It’s an enthralling lesson in the nurturing of creativity and the strength of positive will power for the common good (85 min.).
