Narrow Search

Rated R · 110 minutes · 2009

A comedic celebration of male camaraderie and all its complexities, I Love You, Man explores a world often ignored by cinema. Paul Rudd plays a mid-level LA real-estate agent notorious for being a “girlfriend guy,” so, when he gets engaged and realizes he doesn’t have any genuine male friends to stand on his side of the altar, he sets out trying to find his first best friend. His search delivers unto him a slobbish man-child played by Jason Segel. Their burgeoning bromance begins to consume Rudd’s life, and soon even threatens his relationship. It might feel like a second-rate Judd Apatow production with a one-note joke, but the laughs remarkably never stop.
