Rockridge’s ever-popular Marzano/Garibaldi’s complex has spawned a casually elegant Italian-accented New American hangout complete with cocktail lounge, housemade Meyer lemon tagliatelle, and truffled Yukon Gold potato cakes. Some of the dishes are overly fussy, but the mussel-calamari pizza, the duck breast with pumpkin spaetzle, the bluenose bass with sherry brown butter, and the salted chocolate ganache tart with olive oil ice cream are delectable. Phantasmagoric cocktail menu; starkly cool setting.
