Having gone from Eugene O'Neill to Neil Simon so far in its first season, Antioch's Hapgood Theatre Company now takes on How I Learned to Drive,Paula Vogel's remarkably compassionate and funny 1998 Pulitzer Prize winner about an underage girl's accelerated coming of age through an inherently skeezy relationship with a much older man. (The lead role of L'il Bit was originally played off-Broadway by Mary-Louise Parker, with David Morse as predatory Uncle Peck.) Directed by Hapgood artistic director Josy Miller, this production stars Paul Loomis, Amanda Mitchell, Dale Tagtmeyer, Maryssa Wanlass and Valerie Weak.
