Drama, Horror
Just about every Evangelical type this critic has known has insisted horror movies are the devil’s work, which is interesting since House — the latest Christian movie seeing wide release, based on Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker’s novel — features a serial killer named the Tin Man who makes his victims go all Saw on each other for their sins. Apparently, horror movies are the devil’s work unless they try to deter sin. Umm ... wait a minute? Doesn’t most horror do that? Anyway, the point is moot regarding House — the movie is terrible, whether it’s Christian or druidic or anything else. Throw every horror cliché you can think of into a hat and pull them out one by one and you'll end up with House (101 min.).
