Action, Crime drama, Thriller
Roger (Aksel Hennie) is a fast-talking Oslo corporate executive who compensates for his lack of stature by operating a slick fine-art-theft ring. His tall, aristocratic-looking, blond wife Diana (Synnøve Macody Lund), whom Roger is desperately trying to impress, may be having an affair with rugged, suave Clas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), a new businessman in town – and also a dead ringer for actor Aaron Eckhart. What happens to them in Morten Tyldum’s thriller makes for a brisk, violent tour of the dangerous parts of Norway, a series of narrative tripwires arranged by director Tyldum and screenwriters Lars Gudmestad and Ulf Ryberg, adapted from a novel by Jo Nesbø. The action assumes a life of its own, and it’s a dirty life. (100 min.)
