An escaped slave turned Union spy, Harriet Tubman is the most famous "conductor" of the Underground Railroad. She freed dozens of slaves and helped abolitionist activist John Brown in his liberation efforts. At the Oakland Library's Martin L. King Jr. Branch (6833 International Blvd., Oakland) on Tuesday Feb. 10, local performer J.P. Myrick portrays Tubman in an interactive historical-theater production for young audiences, to celebrate Black History Month. 2:30 p.m.
