Temescal’s Hancook serves a wide range of Korean classics, barbecue, goat stew, and the Korean version of shabu shabu. While traditional Japanese shabu shabu tends to feature subtle soup bases, the Korean version cranks up the fire and flavor. The restaurant also offers a large variety of seafood options — a rarity at local hot pot spots — in addition to a slew of meats, vegetables, and modern additions like hot dogs. It can be hard to save room during an all-you-can-eat feast, but you should try, because at the end of the meal, a server will turn your opaque, deeply flavored soup into rice porridge or a fabulous fresh noodle dish.
