Re: “Can Bates Outsmart Anti-Growthers, Again?

Robert -- Thanks for responding. (And BTW, I am on your side of the substantive issue you discuss in the editorial.)

And thanks for the link. Your statement in the editorial was that "cars" are the number one source of greenhouse gasses. The ARB "Greenhouse gas Inventory for 2000-2012" on the site to which you linked seems to show that for the most recent year, "cars" produced 54.132 million tons of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gases. This was less than light trucks (62.892) and electricity generation (81.075). Also, the contribution of cars has been decreasing steadily, though sadly not rapidly, for the entire 12 years covered, so it is unlikely that 2013 was any different. What am I missing? http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/inventory/data/tables/ghg_inventory_by_ipcc_00-12_sum_2014-03-24.pdf

Re: “Can Bates Outsmart Anti-Growthers, Again?

"decreases the number-one cause of greenhouse gas emissions: cars." Actually, the number one source is electricity production. Transportation is number two, but includes trucks, boats, planes, and trains, in addition to cars. Source: EPA " Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gases and Sinks."

Grain-fed would be good. Taste matters.
