Going the Distance: Our Reach Into Space

When: Ongoing, 11 a.m.
Price: free w/ museum admission
For those who want to take a break from the vicious political climate and immerse themselves in the universe far from Earth instead, the new exhibit at Chabot Space & Science Center is the place for escape. Going the Distance: Our Reach into Space shows how humans — with the help of NASA — are further exploring the wonders of other planets and how their conditions are similar to what is here on Earth. On Monday, Nov. 26, visitors will be able to watch a livestream of NASA’s InSight landing on Mars. InSight will take on a two-year mission exploring the deep interiors of the red planet and its rocky formations. Stay after the stream to roam the exhibit, and don’t miss the interactive mission control area.
