GenderKrip Planet: Krip-Hop Mixtape Release at La Peña Cultural Center

GenderKrip Planet is a celebration of the release of Hell Y’all Ain’t Talmbout, an anthology of disabled women and femmes featuring music from artists AJ420, Irkalla Lustre, Kimya Dawson, and many more. The event is associated with Krip-Hop Nation, a movement founded by writer, poet, and activist Leroy F. Moore Jr., who devoted much of his career to raising awareness about the rights of disabled musicians in the hip-hop industry and stoking enthusiasm for their talents. Twenty-on-year-old rapper AJ420, who raps at length about loneliness and weed on her 2019 EP Behind The Curtain, will headline a night of live music, poetry, skits, dances, and speeches. Detailed accessibility information can be found on the event’s Facebook page.
