Perhaps, like Peter Allison, you've become "hooked on the easy accommodation that storage lockers provide." But did you study television's Storage Wars and then write a novel about the experience? Allison did, and you can hear him read from Lockyer Own Storage, the novel "where every locker tells a story," at the second offering in Books Inc.'s "A Few Good Men Series: Locked Up Meets Locked Down." The series, spotlighting "two new local voices in cutting-edge fiction" also features Oakland's Gary D. Sproul, licensed psychotherapist, reading and discussing his new novel, The Length of the Leash, a tense, sprawling, twisting journey following a beautiful immigrant, an aging priest, and a lawyer (not a joke!) from the Russian steppes to San Francisco Bay to the jungles of Guatemala.
