Garden of Memory Solstice Walk-Through

When: Mon., June 21, 5-9 p.m. 2010
Price: $15 general; $10 students and seniors

Nowhere in the world is there any music event that approaches the ambience, variety, and innovative delight of the annual four-hour Garden of Memory Solstice Walk-Through concert. Held on the summer solstice, and produced by Sarah Cahill and New Music Bay Area, the event features up to 40 one-of-a-kind musicians, composers, and artistic pioneers scattered throughout the gorgeous, resonant spaces of Oakland's extraordinary, Julia-Morgan designed Chapel of the Chimes. Arrive early, if you can; many performers stop at 8 p.m. Chapel of the Chimes (4449 Piedmont Ave., Oakland) on Monday June 21, at 5- 9p.m. $15, $10 students and seniors.
