This movie probably should have been made around 1980, when phone sex was still somewhat of a novelty — but then we would have had to do without Ari Graynor. That quicksilver comic actress (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Celeste & Jesse Forever) makes all the difference in director Jamie Travis’ uproarious urban sitcom about a pair of mismatched roommates (Graynor plus co-writer Lauren Miller) who start their own phone sex operation as a way to get rich and find boyfriends. It’s smarter than it sounds, thanks to Miller and Katie Anne Naylon’s screenplay and the randy romping of the cast, which includes Justin Long, Mark Webber, and the wonderfully named Sugar Lyn Beard. An easy-to-like example of bawdy chick-flick comedy in the post-Bridesmaids era.
