Food and Farming Film Festival

When: Tue., Dec. 11, 6:30 p.m. 2007
Price: free

Envisioning a future in which we actually know where our comestibles come from, organizations including Food First and UC Berkeley's KnightCenter for Science and Environmental Journalism present a free Food and Farming Film Festival on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the Hillside Club (2286 Cedar St., Berkeley). Along with archival shorts and super-8 films, a panel discussion features Jim Montgomery of Berkeley's Green Fairie Urban Farm, Barbara Backus of Goat's Leap, and other insiders discussing the role of artisan producers and traditional farmers in a supermarket-loving world. 6:30 p.m.
