Phone: 510-809-1000

The natural world can be a profound source of healing and insight. It is often easier to focus and relax the mind while connecting with nature – nature can support our meditative awareness, and we can use our meditative skills to deepen our connection with nature. Mary Gomes is a Professor of Psychology at Sonoma State University, where she teaches meditation and practices of nature connection. She is a co-editor of the anthology “Ecopsychology: Restoring the Earth, Healing the Mind.” 6 - 7pm, Sunday Sept.10 at the Nyingma Institute
