Get a taste on Friday, March 21, at the acoustically splendid Hillside Club (2286 Cedar St., Berkeley), where azeri tar virtuoso and Azerbaijani ethnomusicology scholar FaikIbragimoglyChelebi performs instrumental mughams, enriched by improvisation and similar to Iranian classical music. StanfordUniversity music professor IzalyZemtsovsky provides an introduction and commentary. 8 p.m., $10-$15.
