Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony with Anfilo Coffee One Day Only Staff Pick

When: Sun., June 16, 11 a.m. 2019
Price: $18.00
Start your Sunday morning right and wake up with a selection of expertly brewed Ethiopian coffee. In the manner of a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, guests will have the opportunity to taste premium-quality, hand-roasted, organic coffee beans from all of Ethiopia’s coffee-growing regions: Lemu, Yergacheffe, Harar, Sidamo, and Lekemti. The coffee is presented by Oakland restaurant, Grand Lake farmers market vendor, and Ethiopian coffee distributor Anfilo Coffee. After the coffee ceremony, guests can also enjoy the Hearst Museum’s exhibit, Pleasure, Poison, Prescription, Prayer: The Worlds of Mind Altering Substances. The temporary exhibit explores the history and social dynamics of 10 mind-altering substances including coffee and tea. Learn why some substances have been widely accepted, while others have been deemed illegal. Get tickets on Eventbrite
