Re: “NRA Says It Will Sue Oakland Over New Gun Laws

The high capacity magazines have got to go. To allow them serves only the purpose of those who selfishly want to play with them, like competitive shooting. If you feel the need to have these dangerous tools, and all you really can do with them is to shoot them competitively, simply go to the shooting range and buy them from the range.
Simple. Problem solved for everyone.
Also, most people are responsible, and will abide by these laws. If there are no laws, how will you know which ones are the responsible good guys? The bad guys will stand out.
At some point, the people need to realize that we all live here together, and the government is here to provide for our welfare - it says that right in the Constitution
As far as enforcement, well that takes money. The Congress should be following the will of the people they represent - and in a democracy that means THE MAJORITY, of which are most definitely in support of regulation of these dangerous tools.
None of these new laws prevent a citizen from "the right of the people to bear arms". The 2nd Amendment doesn't mention how you USE those guns which you have a right to bear. It DOES mention regulating that part.
