Emeryville Farmers' Market Grand Opening

When: Thu., June 17, 12-6:30 p.m. 2010
Price: free

At last count, the EastBay boasted some two dozen farmers' markets, spread from Antioch to Alameda and operating six days a week. Berkeley has four just for itself. Well, Emeryville -- long neglected by the produce-slinging powers that be -- is finally getting some locally grown love of its own, as 35 local artisans and farms will now be setting up shop every Thursday from noon-6:30 p.m. on Haven St. between Park Ave. and 40th St., next to City Hall. Check out their produce, flowers, prepared food, crafts, and other goodies at the market's grand opening on Thursday, June 17.
