Eat at Bill's: Life at the Monterey Market

When: Mon., Jan. 14, 7 p.m. 2008
Price: free

Alice Waters praises Bill Fujimoto -- owner of the popular Berkeley produce store -- in Lisa Brenneis' film Eat at Bill's: Life at the Monterey Market. Reminiscing aboutearly days at Chez Panisse, Waters describes calling Fujimoto to ask, "'Where can I get the best oranges?' ... He's so generous with his advice."Elsewhere in the film, Fujimoto appraises organic arugula and discusses possible uses for soccer-ball-sized puffball mushrooms. See the film on Monday, Jan. 14 at the Kensington Library (61 Arlington Ave., Kensington), where Brenneis and Fujimoto will be on hand for a Q&A afterwards. 7 p.m. CCCLib.org-- Anneli Rufus
