Re: “Knowland Park Advocates Launch Referendum to Block Oakland Zoo Expansion

Just because regulators say it is okay doesn't mean it is okay. The Zoo never did a proper environmental impact report that would have examined other options in an objective way. The Zoo can say anything but it has no prrof that the project cannot be put in a different space, OFF THE RIDGE!

Re: “Oakland Zoo's Proposed Expansion Into Knowland Park Heads to Final Council Vote

Zoo execs and attorneys are expert at making a very misguided development seem right when reason and ethics scream wrong!

Re: “Zoo Gone Wild

Oakland residents and all East Bay residents! Write to the City Councilman about this article and your concern about public parklands being developed, this plan is an expansion of the city with water lines, sewers, fences, buildings...no mitigation or rehabilitation will replace the biodiversity now contained in the soil, on the trees, within the maritime chaparral.

Re: “Oakland Zoo Operators Violate Election Laws

The zoo will directly or indirectly use the Measure A1 funds for the expansion and can legally do it...check out your voter's pamphlet: Section 1, Chapter 2.30, H..."constructing, expanding, remodeling, renovating, furnishing, equipping, or financing of facilities"
