Re: “Oakland Deal with Sharks on Ice

The Sharks use a 24 game season (+ playoffs). OIC, for a 20 game season (+ playoffs) currently charges $515 or a minimum of $7500, unless they like you or your team has played there for a while, in which case they will likely allow you to only pay $515 per player. They don't do a good job of policing it, but they do selectively enforce it. Several teams have been forced to pitch in and pay more (to get to $7500) if they had fewer than 15 paying players. If your team has 14 players, under the Sharks plan they will pay $565 per player, or $23.50/game. Currently, at $515 for the season (if they let you do that, and most often they do) you are paying $25.75/game, over $2 MORE per game. If your team has 13 players, under the Sharks plan you pay $25.32/game -- still LESS than you pay now. If you go down to 12 players, you pay $27.43/game under the Sharks plan -- $1.75 more per game than you pay now. So, where is the brutal increase? My team, whether 13 or 14, will pay less per game per person. Is my math wrong? And with that, better faclities and better management. Sounds ok to me.
