Dating Is Okay, But Please, Nothing Long-Term

The Oakland Athletics will remain at McAfee Coliseum through at least 2010, the Tribune reports, but after that, the team is probably off to Fremont -- where it recently purchased land adjacent to a parcel it is eyeing for a new stadium. Oakland officials have not been publicly enthusiastic about the team's proposal to build a new stadium on a parcel of land north of the Coliseum, and co-owner Lewis Wolff has apparently rebuffed their offers to relocate elsewhere. But, hey, at least Oakland has the Raiders, huh?
