Describing themselves with a series of appetizing one-syllable terms like "swamp," "sludge," and "trash," local garage bands Sleepy Boy Moe, the People Eaters, Bearhug, and Steve McQueen for a Day promise to oscillate from "fabulous and creepy" to outright "raucous." Which could be an understatement, considering the bands' taste in MySpace wallpaper (design patterns include a repeated graphic of two kittens humping, and a monster dropping human stick-figures into its giant maw). Dubbed "Creepshow," their four-band showcase happens Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the Stork Club. Expect ragged vocals and rumbly guitar lines. 9 p.m., $5.
