The Dec. 24, 2008 column of Eco Watch, "Don't Recycle That Plastic," mistakenly stated that narrow-neck bottles are the only plastic that the City of Oakland accepts in its curbside recycling program. On July 1, 2008, the city also began other taking plastic food containers, such as margarine tubs, yogurt tubs, and deli containers.
