Circus for Art in the Schools

When: Sun., April 27, 1 & 4 p.m. 2008
Price: $10-$15

Anyone who missed out on the dazzling aerial stunts and side-splitting clown performances of Cirque du Soleil's Kooza -- in which such activities as skipping rope or sauntering around the stage amount to a high-octane spectacle -- can relax, because this weekend a troupe of A-list circus performers will descend on Kofman Auditorium (2200 Central Ave., Alameda) for the annual Circus for Arts in the Schools fund-raiser. Cirque du Soleil emeritus and Alameda parent Jeff Raz will preside as ringmaster, alongside jugglers, clowns, dancers, and hand-to-hand double acrobats -- among other artists who've all offered their services pro bono. On Sunday, April 27. 1 & 4 p.m., $10-$15.
