Celebrate Día de los Muertos at Oakland Ballet’s "Luna Mexicana!” 

When: Fri., Nov. 3 2017
This family-friendly performance is filled with festive dancing, colorful costumes, and vibrant music in celebration of Día de los Muertos. In Luna Mexicana, a young woman dreams her relatives and friends dance back to life in the forms of teetering skeletons, skirt swishing girls, and a deathly Bride and Groom. Nahui-Ehekatl offer traditional Aztec dance, Ballet Folklórico México Danza will highlight the cultural heritage of Mexico through folkloric dance, and Mariachi Mexicanisimo will provide lively music. Audience members are encouraged to attend in Day of the Dead attire. Arrive early to enjoy the festivities in the theater lobby before the performance.
