Re: “How Energy Companies Are 'Robbing the 'Hood'

The reason the energy companies are fighting this so hard is because they are fading in relevance altogether- if every structure had solar panels and a battery in the basement, WE WOULDN'T EVEN NEED POWER LINES.

ZERO reason for these utilities to exist in their recognizable form, unless people are prevented from buying & selling freely, or taxed openly for achieving energy independence or consuming less.

Really since the grid is instantaneous only, and all energy is either used or lost, it makes perfect sense to tax the heavy users the most - they could brown out the whole neighborhood doing that, so it's good to economically warn them with immense prices - which just about ANY of them could escape by GOING SOLAR!

Cops' violence is in stark contrast with peaceful protesting, occupy could have been evicted by hourly sprinklers but apparently this is better for Oakland.
