Re: “Party 2 Nite. R U Going?

I cannot believe the people on this. after reading through most of these postings i have discovered a pattern that makes me hate the world we live in.
First, there will be a comment from a "concerned parent". there input will reveal that they know absolutely nothing about the berkeley high school life. they take stereotypical images that the media spits out and they instantly tag it on every kid they see with baggy pants and dreadlocks. they generally have nothing to say of value to the real truth of the situation.
Next, there will be a berkeley high student commenting about how the article was an exaggeration, and how the author unfairly represented the youth in this city (which has a ring of truth to it).
After that, the same concerned parent will comment back, and to my complete shock it is the concerned parents who starts childish little online skirmishes. the parent will criticize the students syntax, telling one student to spend more time in English class and less time hitting kids with baseball bats. this is a roast. no matter how old you are.
This will never stop, there is to big of a social gap between, bored, overly concerned, uptight parents, mostly upper class white women with nothing else to do but vent all of there closet bigotry's, and the general youth in berkeley.
There is genocide going on in Kenya, Catholic priests rape boys, Dub ya bush (the dictator) is exponentially increasing troops in Iraq while at the same time laying the groundwork for the the north American union and a shift to abolish the constitution and turn america into a fascist police state, my cat kills mice, we slaughter millions of animals everyday, global warming has become more obvious every day. there is plenty of fucked up shit in this world right now, yet people(myself included) still think its important, or morally responsible to go online and gripe about how kids smoke pot, and drink, and occasionally get robbed. grow up people, live a little, personally, I think im overdo for a mugging, i need a little excitement in my life. I thought this was Berkeley...

it must be frustrating to the people who lived in the berkeley of old, I personally feel that the youth of berkeley, the same youth that opposed the vietnam war, and staged some of the largest demonstrations in history, the same youth who believed deeply in Love, Life, and Peace are being let down by the youth of today. Im a senior at Berkeley High, I love alot of the kids i go to school, but we lack the fire and passion of the world that previous generations in berkeley thrived on, it seems as if no one in my school cares about the absolute tragedy's going on today. The media has thrown countless distractions in front of us to encompass us in a bubble of misinformation, rather then talk about Blackwater open firing on innocent Iraqis, we choose to discuss who won americas next top model last night. instead of going to the military recruitment office on addison(Three blocks from Berkely high!) and holding a sit in opposing this unjust war, we instead congregate to open houses to drink, listen to whatever rap music is popular this week, and fight. Im sorry but in my opinion, in comparison to previous generations, we are funking losers, and i mean that in the most sincere way possible. anyway... Love is all you need.

P.S. please do not judge me on my grammar. im a talker not a writer.
