After spending seven years at Stars in SF, the Tibetan-born chef-owner launched this place to serve souped-up versions of her homeland's traditional dishes. What would the Dalai Lama say to momos (Northeast Asian kreplach) with mushrooms and mascarpone? In a town where it seems as if every third car has a "Save Tibet" bumper sticker, this is the only restaurant spotlighting that troubled culture's cuisine, though its setting on flat, busy University couldn't be farther from the Potala Palace.
