Thought-provoking Israeli-produced documentary depicts what happens when Ayed and Iltezam Morrar, a father-daughter team of community organizers in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, lead a non-violent campaign in opposition to the Separation Barrier wall that’s threatening their home village. Their tactic: plant olive trees. When Israeli activists join the struggle, an Arab-Jewish partnership for social justice is created. Yet another example of the “hopeful” school of Israeli-Palestinian film partnerships, written and directed by Julia Bacha, who co-wrote Control Room. (70 min.)
