Brian WIlson & The Zombies

When: Fri., Sept. 13, 8 p.m. 2019
Price: $79.50-$229.50
The Something Great From 68 Tour comes to Oakland to revive the Psychedelic era. Brian Wilson headlines, bringing along former Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chapman to help recreate the harmonies that were a large part of that band’s appeal. They’ll be performing all the oldies, as well as tunes from Wilson’s solo career, including “Love and Mercy” and “One Kind of Love” from his biopic Love and Mercy. Back in 1968, The Zombies followed The Beatles onto the American charts to help launch the British Invasion and reshape the face of popular music. Original vocalist Colin Blunstone and keyboard ace Rod Argent, who wrote the band’s timeless hits “She’s Not There” and “Time of the Season” still front the band, and their recent performances are drawing rave reviews.
