Named after the town’s former mayor — part black Lab, part Rottweiler — Bosco’s is tiny Sunol’s Saturday-night out. The friendly restaurant is decorated à la 1890, but serves fare (Alligator nuggets? Chardonnay-lime sauce?) those old-timey ranchers wouldn't have known what to do with. Your best bet is to stick with the steaks, especially the top-notch prime rib; lighter entrées are uneven. For a special treat, go to the bar to ask Bosco for a pint of his brew.
