After traveling the world to research her new passion, Kilpatrick moved to the Bay Area and studied with master accordionist Danny Poullard. At Ashkenaz (1317 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley) on Tuesday, Feb. 10, she discusses her book Accordion Dreams. 8 p.m. Ashkenaz.com
