Black Rodeo Rides Into Town

The 24th annual Bill Pickett African American rodeo hit Castro Valley this weekend, and roughly six thousand people showed up to watch cowpokes, um, poke cows? The event which seeks to honor the legacy of black cowboys in the American West as it entertains, is on a multi-city tour of the country, and will end in a grand contest in Las Vegas this November.
