Black Moth Super Rainbow

When: Thu., May 28, 9 p.m. 2009
Price: $14

It's time to get weird, people. This week, the inimitable UK team Prodigy has bizarrely returned to smack up the Warfield after all these years, while Fool's Gold is getting ill at Mezzanine. But both pale in comparison to buzz-worthy experimental psych-pop hippies Black Moth Super Rainbow. The Pittsburgh-based five-piece has band members named "Power Pill Fist" and "Tobacco" on instruments like vocoder, Rhodes, and Novatron. Black Moth celebrates the release of its fourth album in six years, Eating Us, on label Graveface, by playing the esteemed Bottom of the Hill (1233 17th St., San Francisco) with equally batty Brooklyn trio School of Seven Bells on Thursday, May 28. 9 p.m., $14.
