If you're one of the people who made Big Momma's House 2 No. 1 at the box office in its opening weekend (to the tune of some $27.4 million), you hereby forfeit your right to complain about the lousy movies Hollywood makes. This is a sequel so bad that even Cedric the Entertainer and Anthony Anderson didn't return for it, let alone Terrence Howard and Paul Giamatti (no such up-and-coming talent is evident here). Presumably designed to cash in on Tyler Perry's newfound success in drag, the movie sees Martin Lawrence once again dressing up as a fat old lady in order to bust some criminals, this time by becoming a nanny. Returning as his wife, Nia Long plays a character too stupid to realize what's going on, even though she's been through it once already. And Lawrence's idea of affecting a female voice is to screech "Ooooooh!" at the beginning of every sentence. Director John Whitesell (See Spot Run) is now officially canonized as a director to be avoided.
