More details emerged from the grand jury transcripts in the Chauncey Bailey murder case. According to the Chauncey Bailey Project, Yusuf Bey IV, CEO of the now defunct Your Black Muslim bakery, wanted to kill his brother-in-law, Saleem Bey, because Saleem Bey was feeding information to Bailey for a story the Oakland Post editor was writing on the bakery's finances. But then Bey IV decided not to order the assassination of his sister's husband because he was family. However, Bey IV did order that Bailey be murdered, according to the transcripts.
