Best Still-Current Berkeley Ordinance to Preserve the Public Morals

Berkeley Ordinance Ord. 557-NS § 10, 1918

Public morals in Berkeley seem a thing of the past, but then, that's exactly the point of this old ordinance on the books. If you're thinking of owning livestock in the city limits, don't let 'em get you on a technicality: "It is unlawful for any person within the limits of the City to allow any stallion, bull or jackass to be kept in the same enclosure with a mare, cow or jenny, except in an enclosure sufficient to obstruct the view of all persons outside such enclosure. Good thing we're protected from that.
