Best Pickup Spot

The Oakland Coliseum

Single people, especially lonely single women, always gripe that there's nowhere around to meet men. But if it's quantity (rather than, necessarily, quality) that you're after, then get thee to an A's game, where drunken slobbery men outnumber drunken slobbery women about 100 to 1. The Coliseum's rafters are filled to brimming with guys just looking for love at game time and some of them are even single. Sure, some of these men might have the remnants of a hotdog lunch encrusted on their Jason Giambi T-shirts but whenever the going gets rough, just remember Susan Sarandon in Bull Durham. Once you get past the ketchup stains, green and yellow face paint, and beer belly (think cuddly), you'll find that an A's fan is a very sensitive creature. After the A's lose, many men can be found weeping in the bleachers and in desperate need of a little consolation. So try a little tenderness and you might get lucky, or at least a beer in a souvenir cup.
