Best Oatmeal Brûlée
Mush gets a makeover

The Fat Lady

Oatmeal's image as soupy mush was in dire need of a makeover. Enter the Fat Lady with its new weekend brunch featuring oatmeal brûlée, a crisp, sugary treat combined with a hearty old-fashioned breakfast. The dish features bananas and walnuts or strawberries crisped with caramelized sugar. And these ain't Quaker oats -- these have texture and pop when you bite into them. Along with the Fat Lady's other unique twists on brunch dishes, such as Grand Marnier French toast and traditional favorites such as eggs Benedict, a drinks menu with Bloody Marys and mimosas makes the morning that much brighter. Or skip the breakfast fare and opt for a monstrous burger with avocado and bacon, one of the best around. On a warm day, sit outside while you alternate spoonfuls of oatmeal and sips of champagne.
