W. Kamau Bell

It’s not easy to navigate American race relations and the current political climate in a consistently funny and clever way — without being offensive. W. Kamau Bell dances around the difficult lines of “too far” and “too soon” with impeccable grace. The Bay Area favorite used to live in San Francisco, but now lives bi-coastally in Berkeley and New York City. He’s known for his long-running one-man stand-up comedy show, The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour, and his short-run FX comedy television show, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Soon, he’ll be hosting a documentary series on CNN called United Shades of America, in which he explores the wide variety of subcultures throughout the country. On top of that, he even found time to return to the Marsh Berkeley with a series of stand-up shows this summer. His topical comedic finesse is unmatched.
