Great new dance at a great price! UC Berkeley presents Berkeley Dance Project 2012: Beneath the Flesh - three new choreographic works exploring the theme of transformation. Amara Tabor-Smith's Searching for the Moon in the Dark Night Sky explores what it means to become a woman through a dance inspired by the Senagalese Sabar dance form, Lisa Wymore's The dead are born from a dream of the living is informed by Jerzy Grotowski's expressionist theater-making, and graduate student Stephanie Sherman will use clothing to showcase shifting identities in (fitting) room.
