Diary of a slut. A red-haired woman named Marcela (Czech star Anna Geislerová) ditches her car-thief husband, grabs her two kids (from a previous union), and takes up with a rich man, leading to predictable trouble for all concerned. Everyone seems to be taking pills in director Jan Hřebejk’s dour drama, evidently adapted by writer Petr Jarchovský from a poem by Robert Graves. It doesn’t help. The only interesting character is the kids’ creepy Step-Grandfather Riša, played by Jiři Schmitzer, who roams around in the same shirt all day (110 min.).
